MY JOURNEY. BLACK & WHITE TRAVEL PHOTOGRAPHY

Awanderer from a very young age, I met an Indian Swami in London in the early 70’s, and the inspiration with India, Yoga system and remarkable Yogis set me on a long walk from London to Amritsar in Punjab. Buying and selling gemstones throughout the path and making the odd bit of silver jewelry, I ended up studying and teaching Yoga in various ashrams in India, walking and climbing mountains from the Himalayas to Kanyakumari, living in caves and digging for crystals, as well as working some years in the gem industry around Jaipur in Rajasthan. Now after more than 40 years spent in Asia, I am still fascinated by the light of gems. Some 18 years ago I met Vlad Yavorskyy who introduced me to the world of really precious gems and his wonderful art and photography. Whenever I come to Thailand, which is quite often, I usually pay my first visit to Vlad’s office and enjoy his new collections of gems and art.
